BUFCST statement and message to members - 27/09/08There has been much talk and speculation regarding Trust funds in relation to BUFC's plea for donations to help with the two CVA payments of £25,000 due in October 2008 and April 2009. On Saturday, the Trust chairman spoke with Neil Kempster and received verbal assurances that any money paid to the club, by the Trust, will as it were count towards the aims of the Trust, that of purchasing shares of Boston United Football Club Ltd, as well as securing an executive seat on the club's board in the future. At this moment in time the Trust is in the process of changing bank accounts but come next week when our Treasurer returns from the Middle East He will finalise matters and inform both the BUFCST Board members, and the members of the BUFCST, exactly what the Trusts financial position is. Following the publication of this information, on the BUFCST website, BUFCST members will be asked if a payment is to be made and how much. Any payment sanctioned by you, the members of the BUFCST, must leave the Trust with sufficient funds to carry on with the work of the BUFCST, which is to raise funds so that shares can be purchased in Boston United Football Club Ltd, to try and ensure that the football club is not financially reliant on one particular person, or organisation. What all BUFCST members and supporters of Boston United Football Club should know is that the Trust appreciates that the club has put in place a method for the fans to donate direct to the club and the BUFCST encourages everyone to do use this facility, should they so wish. However, as the Trust is committed to raising the £50,000 of funds, requested by David Newton, Chairman of Boston UNited Football Club, we the BUFCST Board, request that all the 1,000+ supporters who attended the recent FA match against Stamford, the 500+ season ticket holders, the 175+ BUFCST members, members of BUSA, etc, etc ALL join the BUFCST, and work together with us to raise at least £50 each. To assist in raising the required £50,000 by April 2009, the BUFCST have given the forthcoming Santa Fun Run to Boston United Football Club Ltd, so that this event can be used to raise the required funds. Therefore, if ALL the 1,000+ supporters of Boston United Football Club decided to participate in the forthcoming Santa Fun Run, not only would all the money required be raised before Christmas, but also everyone would have an enjoyable day, and the event would also draw attraction to the town of Boston. These funds will ultimately enable the Trust to purchase the desired shares, which in turn will also the BUFCST to secure the supporters of Boston United a place on the club's board and at the same time helping to ensure the financial future of our football club. The BUFCST can only succeed if all the club's supporters are involved, so please step forward to assist, board members are urgently required if we are to be successful. |
