TRUST SEEKS TO GET FANS BACK TO YORK STREET - 13/01/06

TRUST SPOKESMAN Ron Coley has said he is delighted with the latest BUFCST initiative to boost the club's attendances at York Street.

Steering Group members have produced and printed matchday flyers advertising forthcoming home fixtures and have arranged for these to be distributed to pubs and businesses based in and around Boston.

Posters advertising home fixtures used to be seen all around the town but have disappeared in recent years, leaving Trust Steering Group members to step in and make their own.

Mr Coley said: "In former times the club advertised in this manner and the Trust wants to do its bit to attract people back to York Street to watch our great club push for the playoffs."

Robin Hood publican, Tony Royce has also endorsed the simple, yet effective, adverts. "My regulars are always asking about the next home game over their pint of Batemans," he said. "Now they won't have to ask anymore. This is a great idea by the Trust."

Mr Coley has also confirmed that news that BUFCST recently received a generous donation of £212 from Dr Ken Fox from advertising commission from the unofficial BUFC website (www.bufc.drfox.org.uk).

Responding to queries about how the funs will be used in the immediate future, Ron said: "At this moment in time BUFCST is a saving organisation and until the Steering Group has meet on 4th February to agree the Trust's constitution and rules, no decisions will be made on how Trust funds will be used.

The Trust's ultimate goal will be for the club to be owned and run by its fans."
