The countdown is on to the Boston Santa Fun Run / Walk on next Sunday, 16th December 2007.
The first event of its kind organised by the BUFCST will see the amazing sight of 100 plus Santa's running / walking from Wide Bargate through the historic streets of Boston's' Town Centre and finishing back in Bargate.
The event will be started at 11.00 am by the Boston United manager Tommy Taylor assisted by the first team players, with the Chairman of Boston United Football Club, David Newton, also participating.
All those taking part will receive a Santa Suit, a certificate and a commemorative medal. As The City of Lincoln are holding a similar event, on the same morning, we are calling on all Bostonians to join in this great Christmas fun event and make ours a huge success.
It is intended for the BUFCST Santa Fun Run to become an annual Boston event, so if you want to be involved and raise funds for your own cause on a 50/50 basis with us please contact Chris Cook on 01205 355 355, or by visiting Chris Cook Print Shop at Bridge House 94 - 96 Main Ridge East, Boston, Lincs. PE21 65Y or visiting the BUFCST web site at www.bufcst.org.uk.As the owners of Boston United have decided to seek the opinions of not only the supporters of Boston United but also the residents, and businesses, of Boston, through the completion of a questionnaire, which needs to be completed and returned by 5.00pm on Friday 21st December 2007, regarding the long term future of both the football club, and also the BUFC Centre of Excellence, it is hoped that all the competitors in the 1st BUFCST Santa Fun Run will complete this questionnaire after the fun run, and that those watching the event, rather than competing, will also take the opportunity of completing the questionnaire whilst at the Santa Fun Run, and returning their completed questionnaires to the Race Control, so that the owners of the football club receive feedback from the supporters, residents and businesses of Boston, to help determine the future of both Boston United Football Club and the BUFC Centre of Excellence.
