BUFCST Golf Day 2006

The inaugural BUFCST Golf competition was held at South Kyme Golf club on Friday the 1st September 2006 in breezy but sunny conditions.

Although the number of teams was a little disappointing, this didn’t detract from the success of the day.

The scoring was excellent from the teams that started at 8am to the last team who completed at 5.30 pm. Everyone enjoyed a course presented in wonderful condition, and the first class meal on completion, plus the halfway house refreshments were welcomed by all.

Speaking on behalf of the Trust, organiser Melvin Moxon said: “I would like again to thank all the competitors for supporting this event, comments from everyone assured me that next year’s golf day will be a sell out.

”A special thank you goes out to my helpers on the day, Nick and David, real trust stalwarts.
The prize table was excellent with prizes being won by 50% of the teams playing.”

Golf day results

In 5th place with 82 points were the Eshaws from Barnsley.

In 4th place with 86 points were 3 Men & A Banker.
